The Livestock, Industrial and Agri-Food Fair of Lorca, Sepor, will host this year, and for the first time, a session of the Mercolleida Fattened Pig Price Board, the state reference market par excellence for the Spanish pig sector. It will be a unique session, since, with more than 50 years of experience as a market, a session has never been held outside the city of Lleida. In this way, Mercolleida wants to show its unconditional and determined support for Sepor, an event that over time has become one of the most important events in the livestock and meat sector in the country and outside our borders.
Sepor will take place this year from October 28 to 31, so the 16 companies that are part of the Mercolleida Fattened Pork Price Board will move to Lorca (Murcia) to hold their usual session every Thursday and at the which determines the weekly price of Lleida pork (or normal), select pork and fatty pork in euros per live kilo. It should be noted that this quote is used as a reference price for more than 90% of pig purchases and sales made in Spain.
