Net Zero Tech successfully concluded its 2026 edition after bringing together more than 1,000 professional visitors on June 3rd and 4th in Barcelona, solidifying its position as one of the leading events specializing in technological solutions for energy optimization, decarbonization, and industrial competitiveness.

Over two days, the forum gathered industrial companies, energy companies, public administrations, technology centers, business associations, and industry experts to analyze the challenges and opportunities presented by the transition to a low-carbon economy.
This year’s edition was inaugurated by Javier Selva, Director General of Knowledge Transfer and Society at the Department of Research and Universities of the Government of Catalonia, along with José Antonio Alcaide Martín, Councilor of the City Council of L’Hospitalet, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between administrations, the territory, and the innovation system to accelerate the development of new energy solutions.
Furthermore, the event stood out for its practical nature, with a program focused on already available technologies and real-world projects that are contributing to reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency in various industrial sectors. Attendees were able to learn firsthand about solutions related to Energy Saving Certificates (EACs), renewable hydrogen, biogas and biomethane, industrial electrification, energy storage, the circular economy, and digitalization applied to energy management.
One of the main attractions of the event was the program of specialized workshops. Efficient Tech addressed the development of the CAE system and its potential to accelerate investments in energy efficiency; Biogas Tech analyzed the strategic role of biogas and biomethane in the decarbonization of industry; H2 Tech brought together researchers, companies, and organizations to discuss the applications of renewable hydrogen; Green-E Tech focused on electrification through renewable energy and energy storage; and Case Studies Tech provided insights into real-world experiences from companies already implementing decarbonization projects with tangible results.
In addition to the technical content, Net Zero Tech once again stood out for its ability to generate collaboration opportunities among the various stakeholders in the energy and industrial ecosystem. The networking sessions and professional meetings facilitated the exchange of knowledge and the creation of new alliances to drive innovation and sustainability projects.
“The results of this edition demonstrate that there is enormous interest in finding concrete solutions that allow for simultaneous progress in sustainability and competitiveness. Net Zero Tech has established itself as a space where technological innovation connects with the real needs of the industry,” highlights Eugenio Pérez de Lema, the event director.
ANAFRIC, a collaborating entity
Among the collaborating entities for this edition was ANAFRIC, which supported the celebration of Net Zero Tech 2026 as part of its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and the competitiveness of the food industry. The association believes that meeting spaces like this are fundamental for bringing innovative solutions to companies, enabling them to advance in decarbonization processes, optimize resources, and face the environmental and energy challenges that will shape the future of the sector with greater confidence.
