The first International Country Fair, SICampo 2024 & Festival de Campo, has been presented, an essential space to promote opportunities in the sector, which will bring together the protagonists of the rural world to strengthen commercial ties and explore new market opportunities. Promoted by the Asociación de Campo y sus Costumbres (ACC) and Alianza Rural, the first Fair will take place from May 9 to 12 at the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela, in Madrid, under the motto #SomosCampo.
Aimed at professionals and the public, SICampo will bring together, as explained in their press release, all actors in the rural world to strengthen commercial ties, explore new market opportunities, promote growth, knowledge, innovation and the positive transformation of the sector. It seeks to establish a new relationship between the rural and the urban, promoting contexts that stop depopulation and strengthen a sustainable economy. Likewise, it will focus on providing a platform to address agribusiness challenges and promote the connection between the rural and urban world, with special interest in bringing society, and especially youth, closer to their food and their roots.
This Hall will coincide with the Country Festival, an event that will show live the country lifestyle, its values and customs, and the importance of enjoying nature accompanied by a varied gastronomy, art and live music.
SICampo 2024 not only promotes innovation and development, but also offers a space to enjoy rural life, with activities such as gastronomy and concerts, and to do so it will have five differentiated areas, from business and institutional exhibitions to practical experiences, exhibitions livestock, tastings, conferences focused on key topics such as water and the environment, and recreational activities such as performances and concerts under the Field Festival space.
