The EU could modify the sanctions on Russia by unfreezing some of the funds of the main Russian banks. In this way, the food and fertilizer trade could be initiated.
The Eurocarne magazine has echoed information from the Reuters agency. The EU could unfreeze previously blocked economic resources owned by major Russian lenders VTB, Sovcombank, Novikombank, Otkritie FC Bank, VEB, Promsvyazbank and Bank Rossiya, according to an EU draft. With this, the food and fertilizer trade could start.
