Valls Companys presents a tool to digitize the meat-livestock sector

The Vall Companys Group has presented its meat-livestock digitalization strategy at Alimentaria FoodTech in the round table “Smart Agro and AI: the influence on the agri-food chain”. The Group, led by its director of Industrial Systems of the Vall Companys Group, Joaquín Terés, has debated and analyzed the way in which new technologies are having an impact on agriculture and livestock.

Terés has highlighted some examples of the digitalization that the agri-food group has promoted, such as Farm 5.0, an R&D&I platform resulting from the collaboration between the Group’s specialist technical teams and its farmers, which aims to obtain and application of technologies that improve pig farming. In this way, it stands out for the research, design and application of new feeding techniques in order to optimize the growth of pigs, their health and well-being, achieving, in turn, a lower environmental impact.

Vall Smart Farm: technology at the service of the integrated farmer

In addition, the Vall Companys Group has implemented its Vall Smart Farm strategy, which seeks to improve the efficiency of farms, animal feed and the farmer’s daily life. Through the internal Vall Smart Farm app, which farmers have on their mobile phones, environmental and consumption values of the farms are controlled, being able to detect and predict incidents that may affect breeding. This system further strengthens the health and well-being of the animals; at the same time it reinforces the Group’s commitment to the optimization and sustainability of the farms. In addition, the same application includes a virtual campus where farmers can download training and livestock management videos.

Nealia seeks to provide the farmer with digital tools so that he can control his farm from his mobile phone and facilitate the management and maintenance of the farms. Along these lines, Nealia has IoT gadgets that allow constant monitoring of the farm’s environmental variables.

Nealia: 4.0 technology for the entire sector

Recently, the Vall Companys Group has created its spin-off dedicated to digital development for farmers outside the group and the agri-food industry, in line with its desire to promote the technological development of livestock farming and make a rural world more sustainable, resilient and strong. In this way, the objective is to democratize its technology, making it available to the entire primary sector.

This product seeks to provide the farmer with digital tools so that he can control his farm from his mobile phone and facilitate the management and maintenance of the farms. Along these lines, Nealia has IoT gadgets that allow constant monitoring of the farm’s environmental variables (temperature, humidity and CO2), providing better energy control, facilitating optimal care of the animals and reporting any incident through early alerts. .

Its latest development is the launch of a service dedicated exclusively to the poultry industry: an intelligence and artificial vision system that allows for constant and automatic measurement of various variables in animal breeding and generating growth reports that will indicate whether they are following correctly. Correctly shape the growth curve based on your genetics.
