54,736 professional visitors receive the FIGAN fair

Intense commercial, exhibition and dissemination activity at the FIGAN fair held at the end of March. The 16th edition of this International Fair for Animal Production could not end in a better way: 54,736 professional visitors have filled the halls of Feria de Zaragoza for four days. FIGAN is the most appropriate meeting space to find solutions to the present and future challenges of the sector. Precisely, the professionals have highlighted all the processes of digitization and improvement of productive performance that have been seen these days at the Zaragoza Fair.

 

 

“We started FIGAN 2023 with a high number of exhibitors, recovering normal figures similar to those prior to the pandemic and consolidating the position of the event as the epicenter of the primary sector in southern Europe; something that we must thank for the great support shown by the sector and especially, the organizing committee of the event”, highlights Javier Camo, director of the fair. And it is that the event has had 987 exhibiting brands, from 26 countries around the world, reaching an area of more than 77,000 square meters.

 

Progress towards smart farming

Undoubtedly, another of the most outstanding aspects of these days has been the internationalization of the event. The commercial mission program has attracted more than 90 companies to Feria de Zaragoza, from 14 countries such as Argentina, Lebanon, Morocco, Portugal, Tunisia or Venezuela, making possible a large number of interviews and business meetings.

Four intense days in which visibility has been given to the important advances towards intelligent livestock, the latest technological equipment, livestock facilities, animal welfare or the presentation of digital advances in the sector, among others. In addition, among the strong points of the exhibition, the representation of 17 select livestock breeds of bovine and equine species, the track located in Hall 7 to show the morphological benefits of the animals or the space “ALL IN FIGAN”, which It has had numerous activities organized by the Royal Spanish Federation of Select Livestock Associations, RFEAGAS.
