FIAB and Alimentaria renew their alliance for a more international and sustainable sector

Contribute to promoting the internationalization, innovation and sustainability of the sector. This is the objective for which the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB) and the Alimentaria  show have renewed their collaboration agreement for the next edition of the event, which will take place at the Gran Vía de Fira de Barcelona venue, March 18 to 21, 2024. Anafric is a member of the Intercarn Alimentaria Committee.

In this way, the Fira de Barcelona show, an international benchmark for the food industry and its value chain, and FIAB, with the highest national representation of associations and companies in the sector, give continuity to the work carried out in previous editions through actions that value the opening of new markets and the increase in exports, constant innovation and the unavoidable commitment to the sustainability of the food and beverage sector, as the country’s leading industry.

For his part, J. Antonio Valls, General Director of Alimentaria Exhibitions, highlights the role of FIAB as “great backbone of the entire productive and associative fabric of the Spanish food industry and its mission to give visibility to the commitment of this sector with sustainability economic, social and environmental”.

In the last edition of Alimentaria, held together with Hostelco in April 2022, nearly 3,000 exhibiting companies participated, 29% international, and more than 100,000 visitors attended, of which 23% came from 150 countries.
