The Community of Madrid is reinforcing its commitment to the primary sector by renewing two aid programs aimed at attracting new farmers and livestock breeders. These programs seek to promote generational renewal, ensure the continuity of farms, and improve the profitability of an activity that is key to the region.
The first program is aimed at young people between 18 and 40 years old and has a budget of 2.5 million euros. It includes a basic grant of up to 30,000 euros per beneficiary, which can be increased with additional grants of 10,000 euros in cases such as a commitment to livestock farming, organic agriculture, job creation, or location in protected areas such as the Natura 2000 network.

These grants facilitate access to the sector for those entering the agricultural sector for the first time, whether individually, jointly, or as members of cooperative organizations. To access the program, applicants must submit a business plan that must be implemented within a maximum of 18 months. The application period will remain open until May 7th and applications can be submitted online.
Aid for Older Individuals
The second funding line is aimed at people between 40 and 60 years old and has a budget of €500,000, doubling the initial allocation from the previous year. The application period will be open until May 4th, also online.
Both programs are open to individuals in the process of registering for agricultural activity in the region, who have the necessary training or some of it, and who commit to joining the sector. The aid can reach up to €40,000 per person, combining a base amount of €20,000 with an additional supplement for those joining livestock farms.
These initiatives are jointly funded by the Community of Madrid, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the General State Administration.
