37 Salón Gourmets returns to the Ifema pavilions, where from April 22 to 25 it will once again occupy, for the second consecutive time, five pavilions, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, at IFEMA Madrid to offer activities, where exhibitors They can show their products, make presentations, meet with suppliers and promote their new products. Five pavilions full of quality, in which exhibitors will present their most innovative products supported by the guarantee provided by Salón Gourmets, where there is only room for the most suitable professional profiles seeking to close important commercial agreements and position themselves in foreign markets.






The new event will feature Morocco as Country of Honor, Andalusia as Guest Autonomous Community and up to seven stages full of activities such as the 30th Ham Cutter Competition / Dehesa de Extremadura.

The Ham Cutter Contest / Dehesa de Extremadura celebrates its 30th anniversary by searching for the best cutter who dares to measure his skill against a ham from the Dehesa de Extremadura DOP, which for yet another year, and it has been three decades, sponsors this championship.

It is one of the classics of the Hall. Six cutters compete in skill before a jury of professionals who evaluate parameters such as: the thickness and size of the slice, the straightness of the cut, the presentation of the dish, cleanliness and speed, among others.

29th Spanish Sommelier Championship Tierra de Sabor. The competition aims to disseminate the culture of sommelier as well as select the best professional who becomes the “Best Sommelier in Spain” and represents Spain in the ASI (Association de la Somellerie Internationale) World Sommelier Championship.

16th Oyster Opener Championship. A unique show where the contestants show their virtuosity by opening 30 oysters manually in the shortest time possible.

14th GourmetQuesos, Championship of the Best Cheeses in Spain 2024. Nearly 900 samples, 60 judges, two qualifying phases, 20 categories, 60 finalists and 1 absolute winner are the ingredients of the most prestigious championship in Spain dedicated to cheese.

7th National Competition “In search of the Best Cachopo made with Asturian Veal I.G.P.” In order to give added value to the already famous cachopo and support the hospitality establishments that make it with Asturian Veal I.G.P., the Regulatory Council calls for this contest in which different restaurants in Spain participate.

10th Estrella Galicia Beer Draft Championship. In this grand national final the different champions of the regional competitions meet, thus making it a beer draft championship of the highest level.

5th National Art Championship of Cisoria El Encinar de Humienta / Gourmets Group. In the 15th century, the Marquis of Villena wrote an elaborate treatise on the art of cutting meat or cisoria, as it was formerly called. The 5th Cisoria Encinar de Humienta / Grupo Gourmets National Art Championship is aimed at professionals who carry out their activity in Spain, recovering the importance of this basic and difficult-to-master knowledge.
