PROVACUNO has appointed Raúl Sanz as new president after the unanimous support of the associations that form part of the entity. Sanz takes over from Jaime Yartu, who has been in charge of the organization since December 2022.
The new president has an extensive career in the meat sector and is currently director of Grupo Carnico COVAP, one of the most prominent agri-food cooperatives at national and European level for its model of integration between livestock, industry and the market.
Since his new responsibility, Sanz faces this stage with the objective of strengthening the positioning of beef, highlighting its social and economic value, as well as boosting its international projection. Likewise, he will work on the development of initiatives aimed at enhancing the value of the product and promoting livestock activity.
This appointment is part of the interprofessional strategy to continue strengthening the beef sector in Spain, both in the national market and in the international arena.
