For the fifth consecutive year, the Ruta del Paquito will begin on April 28, which this year will take place in the cities of Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona. This initiative is part of the European program “Suckling meat, lamb and kid. Tasty and Sustainable, choose European origin” and aims to rejuvenate and reactivate lamb consumption. There will be 600 establishments in the three cities that will show their particular version of this sandwich whose only requirements are that “it can be eaten with your hands and that it has leg of lamb fillet as its main ingredient, a particularly tender, juicy, versatile and easy to prepare that is part of the new cuts that Interovic proposes to enhance the culinary uses of lamb meat,” the interprofessional said in a statement.
